The Lighthouse Clinic is an independent healthcare hub in the heart of Newport, Isle of Wight, providing accessible, high-quality healthcare services for local people. Operated by The Lighthouse Medical Community Benefit Society (CBS), we exist to improve health and wellbeing across our community, reinvesting our resources into healthcare, education, and community initiatives that make a lasting difference.
As a CQC-registered healthcare facility, The Lighthouse Clinic adheres to the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and governance. Alongside our own NHS and private services, our clinic is home to a growing network of trusted healthcare providers who use our consulting rooms and facilities to deliver specialist care under one roof.
A Community Benefit Society
Unlike traditional healthcare providers, we are driven by social purpose rather than profit. Our members include Isle of Wight GPs, Practice Managers, Practice Nurses, and healthcare professionals who share a commitment to strengthening healthcare services for local people.
Since 2008, Lighthouse Medical has worked alongside NHS organisations, primary care teams, charities, and community groups to develop services that respond to the needs of the Island’s population.
Taking Healthcare Into the Community
We believe healthcare should be accessible, proactive, and delivered where people need it most. That’s why we regularly provide outreach health checks, skin cancer awareness clinics, and wellbeing events across the Isle of Wight.

As a Community Benefit Society, supporting the wider voluntary sector is an important part of our work. We provide business and administrative support to smaller charities and community organisations that may not have the resources to manage these functions themselves, helping them continue their valuable work across the Island.
Education and Professional Development
Through Lighthouse Education, we provide high-quality healthcare training for primary care teams across the Isle of Wight and the South Coast. Our face-to-face training programmes help healthcare professionals maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, develop new skills, and deliver the highest standards of patient care.
