Supporting People Affected by Cardiac Arrest on the Isle of Wight

The Lighthouse Clinic is proud to work alongside Life After Cardiac Arrest (LACA) as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our local community. LACA supports people affected by cardiac arrest and together we are helping to strengthen awareness, connection, and support for survivors and their families across the Isle of Wight.

Why This Work Matters

Survival rates following cardiac arrest are improving, largely due to rapid emergency response, bystander CPR, and access to defibrillators. However, the impact of cardiac arrest often continues long after hospital discharge. Survivors and their families may experience ongoing physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges. Access to information, reassurance, and peer support can play an important role in recovery and wellbeing.

Our Partnership

Through our collaboration with LACA, The Lighthouse Clinic supports LACA's work that raises awareness of cardiac arrest and its lasting effects, promotes access to peer support for survivors and families and encourages greater understanding of recovery after cardiac arrest.
