Lighthouse Education is a not-for-profit healthcare training provider based on the Isle of Wight. Since 2010, we have delivered affordable, high-quality training for primary care professionals, helping healthcare teams develop skills, knowledge and confidence.
As part of Lighthouse Medical, a Community Benefit Society with charitable status, any surplus income is reinvested into healthcare education and workforce development.

Where are we based?
Lighthouse Education is based on the Isle of Wight and is part of Lighthouse Medical, a Community Benefit Society with charitable status. We have been supporting healthcare professionals with training and education since 2010.
Where is your training venue?
Most of our face-to-face courses are held at The Lighthouse Clinic, 62 Crocker Street, Newport, Isle of Wight. Located in the town centre, the venue is easily accessible by car and public transport, with nearby parking and Newport Bus Station just a short walk away.

What facilities do you have for training sessions?
We have a small, fully equipped training room, consulting room and outpatient operating rooms for minor procedures, Wi-Fi, toilets, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Where is the Blood Pressure Champion training held?
Our blood pressure training sessions are held at Crocker Street.
How long does the blood pressure training take?
Each BP Champion training session lasts around 2 hours, providing comprehensive heart health education in a short time.
How many people can attend the BP Champion course at once?
We recommend group sizes of 4 to 8 participants for our blood pressure training, ensuring effective learning and hands-on practice.
What should I wear to the blood pressure training session?
Please wear loose-fitting clothing to your BP Champion training, as you’ll be practising blood pressure monitoring with other attendees.
Is practical participation required in the BP Champion course?
Yes, hands-on practice is essential in our blood pressure training. If you’re uncomfortable taking or receiving blood pressure readings in a group, this course may not be suitable for you.
What is a Blood Pressure Champion?
A Blood Pressure Champion is someone trained to promote heart health, raise awareness about high blood pressure, and support others in monitoring their blood pressure.
